The board that stays out on the counter.
Most kitchens own several boards and use one. This is sized and weighted to be that one — big enough to break down a chicken or hold a full mise en place without everything sliding off the edge.
The surface is kind to knife edges rather than blunting them, with a groove around the rim to catch juices before they reach the counter.
At a glance
• Generous surface for full prep
• Juice groove around the rim
• Surface that is gentle on knife edges
• Stable weight — stays put while you work
• Reversible for separating raw and ready
Care
Hand wash and dry it standing on edge so air reaches both faces. Oil it occasionally and the surface stays sealed rather than drying out and splitting.
